Chem-i-Call was founded in 2008 by Jakob Berkhout; at the time, the company operated under the name Chem Con. Since the start, Jakob Berkhout – who, as a chemistry expert, had for decades beforehand been active worldwide for various companies as senior surveyor & filtration specialist – has oriented the activities of Chem Sur towards the specialisations of filtration, laboratories & supercargo. The company mainly operates in the oil, gas and chemical industries.
